Responsibilities
- Analyze requirements and RFCs and create efficient software designs.
- Contribute to software architecture, infrastructure performance, testing, and reliability direction for satellite systems and related products.
- Design, develop, document, test, and integrate software functionality for satellite system components and related environments.
- Collaborate with software, firmware, embedded, application, and test engineers on a multifunctional Scrum team.
- Troubleshoot technical issues encountered during deployment and provide software solution resolutions.
- Mentor junior team members and drive technical solutions in a collaborative development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, a related subject area, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of industry experience in programming and software engineering.
- Hands-on experience developing, designing, and testing multi-threaded and multi-process applications on Linux.
- Strong working knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design and programming.
- Experience resolving real-time embedded issues involving threading, optimization, memory management, interrupt handling, and multi-core or multi-CPU environments.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, socket programming, and professional software engineering practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, documentation, software design, and analytical skills.
- Technical leadership potential, mentoring ability, and experience developing quality, maintainable software.
- Working experience with GDB and Valgrind and experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with UML, AWS or Azure, 3GPP standards, 5G architecture, Jira, Jenkins, satellite or terrestrial communications, scripting, and automated unit, integration, or functional testing is desired.
