Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build security detection pipelines, correlation engines, and end-to-end detection, prioritization, remediation, and response workflows.
- Architect scalable security platforms and distributed data pipelines for high-volume enterprise telemetry.
- Build vulnerability management, risk prioritization, and remediation systems across cloud, identity, and application environments.
- Develop controls and detection mechanisms for AI-specific threats affecting LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows.
- Build telemetry, analytics, and observability systems to measure security posture, detection effectiveness, and response outcomes.
- Lead complex security systems from concept through production, establish engineering best practices, and mentor engineers.
- Collaborate across Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Security teams to define secure AI readiness standards and onboarding playbooks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or distributed systems.
- Strong experience building production-grade security systems, detections, pipelines, or platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or Java.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and large-scale data pipelines.
- Deep understanding of identity, cloud security, endpoint security, or data protection.
- Preferred experience with security detection engineering, threat modeling, incident response systems, AI/ML security, cloud security platforms, telemetry or SIEM systems, and data lakes.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience in security engineering and large-scale system design.
- Ability to operate in ambiguous cross-organizational environments and communicate complex security and system concepts to technical and executive stakeholders.
Benefits
- Typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800-$234,700 per year; the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range is USD $160,200-$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
