Base Salary
$168k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define, architect, design, test, and deliver new routing and switching features and solutions on Cisco switches using SONiC.
- Provide feedback to hardware and software teams and independently write functional and design specifications.
- Collaborate with ASIC SDK, Product Management, CX, and open-source community teams.
- Drive end-to-end product development and production support with a focus on scale, performance, and reliability.
- Develop routing and switching features, automate tests, and configure and debug networking systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, or Master’s degree plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year.
- At least 5 years of experience developing routing and switching features with test automation.
- At least 3 years of experience configuring and debugging networking systems and solutions.
- At least 3 years of experience using scripting languages, including Python.
- Knowledge of control- and data-plane technologies including L2, L3, BGP, EVPN, and VXLAN.
- Preferred: exposure to open-source SONiC; familiarity with RDMA, RoCE, and HPC networks; knowledge of QoS and data-center network congestion control; and experience with Git, Jira, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted development tools including Copilot, Cursor, and Windsurf.
