Responsibilities
- Evaluate, scope, propose, and build platform features that fulfill business solution requirements.
- Advance and maintain features for threat detection and response, vulnerability management, and compliance automation.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity researchers, engineers, product managers, leadership, and architecture teams on product definition and implementation.
- Contribute to system architecture, design maturity, reliability, scalability, and software quality engineering processes.
- Build and maintain APIs, asynchronous processing systems, database-backed services, and production software.
- Troubleshoot production environments using observability and monitoring tools while following safe and secure system architecture practices.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- 1+ years of programming experience with Python.
- 1+ years of experience contributing to system design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
- Experience building APIs with REST, GraphQL, Django, or Flask.
- Experience developing in a Linux environment.
- Knowledge of test-driven development, CI/CD tooling, and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with asynchronous tasks or queues, including Celery, AMQP, MQTT, or Redis.
- Experience with relational databases and ORMs, particularly PostgreSQL and SQLAlchemy.
- Experience troubleshooting production environments with observability and monitoring tools.
- Desired experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud-native application development, distributed computing, enterprise-wide systems, and complex software systems delivered to customers.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices across coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
