Responsibilities
- Contribute to customer implementations across portfolio assessment, application planning and design, deployment architecture, development, build, integration, release configuration, system testing, production operations, optimization, and best-practices adoption.
- Deliver classroom-based training to architects, developers, and operations personnel.
- Collaborate with consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams as part of the wider delivery team.
- Build a reputation as a trusted MongoDB advisor for customers and the company.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.
- Communicate complex technical proposals and product-roadmap information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Ensure customer success with MongoDB initiatives and maintain the required billable utilization.
- Develop field expertise across MongoDB and contribute customer experience to product development.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software development, consulting, or support experience, preferably across multiple industries or verticals.
- Competence in at least one of Java, C#, Python, Node.js, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; Windows tuning knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment and operations.
- Excellent analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfort with a role combining deep technical work and customer-management responsibilities.
- Confidence speaking and presenting in collaborative customer settings.
- Fluency in French and English.
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently for short customer-site trips, up to 15%.
