Responsibilities
- Assist in building and integrating generative AI applications using hosted foundation models, managed GenAI APIs, and open-model endpoints.
- Implement context engineering and prompt engineering workflows for reliable, token-efficient AI applications.
- Develop and maintain RAG components involving chunking, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic or keyword search.
- Support knowledge graph, Graph RAG, and agentic workflow development, including tool-calling, planning, and memory.
- Integrate agents with external tools and data sources through MCP and gain exposure to A2A.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of GenAI applications in production.
- Perform data preprocessing, document ingestion, and basic API development.
- Collaborate with data scientists and engineers, and participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Stay current with GenAI and agentic AI advancements and share learnings with the team.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python for GenAI development, data preprocessing, and scripting.
- Understanding of foundation models, LLMs, tokenization, embeddings, and context windows.
- Hands-on prompt engineering experience and foundational context engineering knowledge.
- Practical project or professional experience building RAG systems, including chunking, vector databases, and semantic search.
- Familiarity with knowledge graphs, Graph RAG, agentic AI development, tool or function calling, and agent harness concepts.
- Experience with a framework such as Google ADK, LangGraph, CrewAI, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
- Experience consuming GenAI APIs such as OpenAI, Gemini, or Claude, plus exposure to LangChain or LlamaIndex.
- Understanding of application deployment and containerization with Docker.
- Working knowledge of Git.
- Awareness of AI compliance, data privacy, guardrails, and responsible AI principles.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, eagerness to learn, analytical ability, attention to detail, and openness to coaching.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in software or AI development, including exposure to generative AI and agentic AI.
- Experience contributing to AI, GenAI, or software projects in a collaborative team setting.
- Exposure to cloud-based AI/ML environments such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
