Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision for the enterprise architecture practice under leadership guidance.
- Develop technical standards, reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, and architecture decision frameworks for multi-platform solutions.
- Develop and coordinate adoption of Salesforce and enterprise technical strategies covering system design, integrations, application development, and runtime principles.
- Manage architecture reviews through validation checklists, artifact reviews, and domain-specific guidance.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected Salesforce solutions and design end-to-end solutions for complex business problems.
- Manage technical delivery for custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of Salesforce implementations.
- Research emerging technologies, create proofs of concept, and recommend robust and cost-effective implementation toolkits.
- Produce target-state architectures, conduct assessments and gap analyses, and shape solution strategies and roadmaps.
- Partner with data, integration, solution, and business architects to support data integrity, security, compliance, system communication, and enterprise alignment.
- Create business capability models and foster continuous learning within the enterprise architecture discipline.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a senior domain architect or senior enterprise architect.
- Prior experience as a Principal Salesforce Architect in a global organization using Salesforce Connected Apps and AppExchange applications.
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex B2B SaaS Salesforce solutions.
- Leadership of at least two large-scale Product-to-Cash implementations from design through go-live, with 5+ years defining Salesforce architecture across quoting, contracting, fulfillment, billing, revenue, customer success, and customer support.
- Experience planning and leading architecture delivery for large-scale business and systems transformation programs.
- Proven success leading large-scale Salesforce initiatives from concept through delivery.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture capabilities and the Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Community Cloud or SuccessFactors ecosystems.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Five years of hands-on enterprise architecture framework experience, such as TOGAF, C4, or ArchiMate.
- Previous experience focused on data, application, solution, or integration architecture; risk management; and technology standards.
- Strong understanding of security architecture principles and practices.
- Proven experience in business capability modeling and translating business needs into technology solutions.
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or System Architect certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise managed packages such as Gong, DocuSign CLM, Kantata, Gainsight, Showpad, or Qualtrics is a plus.
- Experience with generative AI code assistants such as GitHub Copilot and current generative AI model capabilities is an asset.
