Responsibilities
- Define solution architecture, technical designs, integration patterns, and engineering standards for complex payment products.
- Design and build scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance distributed systems using Java backend technologies.
- Lead architecture decisions across microservices, API design, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, guide engineering teams, review designs and code, and drive end-to-end solution delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Mobile, DevOps, Security, business, and senior client stakeholders.
- Support solutions for Android and iOS applications, including backend services, APIs, authentication, payment integrations, and mobile-to-backend integration patterns.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Java/J2EE backend development and solution architecture.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and API integrations.
- Strong payments-domain experience and understanding of end-to-end payment journeys.
- Proven experience designing scalable, resilient, secure, and high-performance distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, API design, integration patterns, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience providing technical leadership, guiding engineering teams, reviewing designs and code, and driving architecture decisions.
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills with senior client and technology stakeholders.
- Experience architecting solutions supporting Android/iOS mobile applications is preferred.
