Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, deploy, monitor, operate, and maintain new and existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with engineering, Product, and Science partners to drive projects from inception through launch.
  • Write well-tested, readable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
  • Design and own how pricing data is consumed, stored, and shared across Lyft.
  • Use Python, Go, and AWS to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
  • Share technical knowledge through brown bags, tech talks, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of software engineering industry experience.
  • BS/MS or equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant work experience.
  • Extensive object-oriented programming experience, ideally with Python or Go.
  • Ability to write clear, scalable design documentation.
  • Experience with backend development of large-scale distributed systems and concurrency.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners.
