Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and scale AI-first engineering systems, shared platforms, and secure, compliant workflows across Microsoft Security.
- Modernize fragmented developer tooling into a cohesive engineering foundation.
- Establish reusable standards for build, validation, observability, experimentation, and cost-aware design.
- Use engineering telemetry, data, and experimentation to improve developer productivity, system health, and operational excellence.
- Build durable, broadly adopted systems that improve engineering practices and measure impact through engineering velocity, platform adoption, and system health.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Preferred: master's degree and 6+ years of experience, or bachelor's degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: expertise in engineering systems and developer platforms, AI and automation for development workflows, engineering telemetry, experimentation, and platform-centric productivity improvements.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is $119,800-$234,700 per year, with a separate $160,200-$261,000 range for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position is open for a minimum of 5 days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
- Successful candidates must pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background checks upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
