Base Salary
$108k - $174k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain reliable and scalable applications and infrastructure on Linux servers in on-premises and cloud environments.
- Provide infrastructure guidance and assistance to development teams throughout product development.
- Develop automated solutions to improve operational efficiency, reduce errors, enhance CI/CD processes, and increase developer productivity.
- Run infrastructure as code using CloudFormation and Terraform and work with AWS container services such as EKS and ECS.
- Own and track reliability, resiliency, durability, and uptime KPIs and contribute to defining SLOs.
- Gather requirements, build and implement test plans, conduct quality reviews, troubleshoot systems, and resolve operational issues.
- Submit software fixes, review peers’ solutions, and ensure adherence to best practices and internal standards.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation supporting and troubleshooting products across multiple environments.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of related experience with system development technologies, patterns, and practices.
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery automation.
- Proficiency setting up, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading server operating systems such as Linux, Windows, or BSD.
- Proficiency with version control tools such as SVN or Git.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms and services, including AWS, Azure, CloudFront, Lambda, and S3.
- Proficiency with application performance monitoring technologies; CDN experience is a plus.
- Experience with SDLC processes such as code review and release management.
- Experience with networking equipment, TCP/IP, SSL, and troubleshooting tools.
- Ability to write code in at least one language, such as Bash or JavaScript, including implementing functionality and tests and reviewing code.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
