Responsibilities
- Develop automated tools for testing, reporting, file generation, database workflows, and data parsing.
- Develop simulators and stimulators in a laboratory environment according to existing design interface specifications.
- Set up and maintain virtual machine environments on a server.
- Participate in engineering and design analyses and help ensure testing conforms to functional specifications and customer requirements.
- Accompany senior technical staff during on-site testing inspections and complete work within allotted time and budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or computer science from an accredited four-year program.
- Two to five years of professional work experience.
- Prior experience or educational focus in software development for automation, script development, or laboratory simulators.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to set up virtual machine environments on a server and experience with version control.
- Programming experience with JavaScript, React, Python, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of communication protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP.
- Railroad or public mass transit industry experience is a plus.
