Responsibilities
- Design and develop new camera software features.
- Support new hardware and platforms.
- Debug software issues and optimize software for performance and power.
- Develop unit tests and maintain extensible, testable software.
- Work with partners and OEMs across the camera software stack.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 3+ years or a PhD plus 2+ years.
- At least 2 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong C and C++ programming skills, operating-system understanding, object-oriented programming, and multithreaded programming experience.
- Preferred experience includes Android HAL components, Linux kernel or user-space development, V4L2, real-time Linux or Android systems, multimedia drivers and frameworks, and camera technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with 3A, ISP, actuators, image processing, camera sensors, APIs, testing, maintainability, and self-driven engineering leadership.
