Base Salary

$109k - $119k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary engineers to design, build, and operate customer-focused products and services.
  • Break down complex and ambiguous problems into solvable components.
  • Contribute to scalable and reliable software services with distributed-systems scope varying by team.
  • Participate in code reviews, including validating the correctness of AI-generated code.
  • Write technical documentation and clean, maintainable code using software development best practices.
  • Use GenAI and AI-powered development tools while critically evaluating their output.
  • Participate in an agile development environment with CI/CD principles and operational responsibilities including on-call duties.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
  • Have experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
  • Have experience with data structures, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
  • Have experience using AI-assisted development tools in an academic or professional setting.
  • Commit to working 40 hours per week for the 12-week internship.
  • Have an expected degree conferral date between October 2027 and September 2029.
  • Have at least one academic quarter, semester, or trimester remaining after the internship concludes.
  • Preferred qualifications include previous technical internship or project experience; experience with cloud platforms, databases, AI development tools, open-source projects, and version control; software development lifecycle knowledge; and strong problem-solving, analytical, ownership, learning, and communication skills.

  • Internships typically require Monday-Friday availability for up to 40 hours per week, generally between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
