Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deliver, and improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Develop and support banking applications using Oracle PL/SQL and Avaloq script.
- Identify business requirements and propose solutions addressing business problems and opportunities.
- Support mission-critical complex systems with multiple technologies and substantial batch processing.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineers, peers, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in code reviews and promote code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Apply secure coding and unit testing practices to protect data and ensure reliable software.
- Contribute to software development lifecycle activities, risk controls, policy adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze information, resolve technical problems, and advise stakeholders within the area of expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Strong application development experience with Oracle PL/SQL in banking applications or products.
- Knowledge of Avaloq or comparable core banking solutions such as Finacle, T24, or BaNCS.
- Experience supporting mission-critical complex systems in a large IT organization and support environment.
- Knowledge of UNIX, Agile Central, and SVN.
- Working knowledge of banking products and applications.
- Good working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Visio, and ServiceNow is valued.
- In-depth financial services industry knowledge and familiarity with banking modules including securities trading, order management, settlement, corporate actions, credit, and payments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
