Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance market data applications using C++ on Linux.
- Build and enhance real-time handlers for exchange quotes, trades, order book depth, and status updates.
- Optimize low-latency, high-throughput systems for performance and memory efficiency.
- Participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving performance, data correctness, and stability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested C++ code, including unit and component tests.
- Perform code reviews and improve engineering standards and code quality.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, and Support teams to deliver reliable market data services.
- Contribute to system enhancements, refactoring, and technical debt reduction.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on C++ development experience on Linux.
- Strong knowledge of modern C++, including C++11, C++14, C++17, STL, and object-oriented design.
- Understanding of Linux system programming, multithreading, synchronization, and inter-process communication.
- Experience with low-latency or high-performance systems and real-time data processing.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP, UDP, and multicast.
- Experience debugging complex issues in live production environments.
- Familiarity with build systems, version control, and CI/CD practices.
- Prior market data, exchange feed, order book, trade processing, financial protocol, or binary feed experience is preferred.
- Experience with performance tuning tools, latency profiling, FIX, binary market data feeds, Python, Shell, resilience patterns, failover, or high-availability systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
