Base Salary

$159k - $239k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build developer tooling for securing and managing infrastructure such as MCP servers.
Build demonstration applications showcasing secure, identity-powered AI use cases.
Contribute to Auth0 and broader AI and identity open-source projects.
Write and maintain API references, quickstarts, best practices, and AI-native documentation such as llm.txt.
Create adapters, utilities, and interfaces for emerging AI frameworks, agent runtimes, and orchestration layers.
Collaborate with design, product, and security teams on developer needs, roadmap direction, and compliance requirements.
Mentor engineers and promote strong code quality, testing, and architectural practices.
Lead design discussions and contribute to team-wide architectural decisions.
Ensure resilience and security for agent-to-agent and model-to-service communication.

5+ years of software engineering experience building tools, frameworks, or platforms for other developers.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Golang and/or Python, with the ability to work across front-end and back-end contexts.
Experience with LLM APIs, agent runtimes, orchestration layers, or prompt pipelines.
Familiarity with authentication and authorization systems, including OAuth2, OIDC, and JWT.
Experience leading architecture and design efforts for scalable, production-grade systems.
Experience contributing to and maintaining open-source projects and engaging with developer communities.
Strong interest in documentation and developer experience.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

Annual base salary range of $159,000–$239,000 for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area.
