Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall system architecture across MeshMesh services and components.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs and guide major architecture and design decisions.
- Partner with engineering leads to maintain architectural consistency as the platform grows.
- Identify scalability, performance, and reliability risks and design solutions to address them.
- Guide architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Design systems and workflows that leverage Claude and modern AI coding tools to accelerate delivery.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience.
- Significant experience architecting distributed systems at scale.
- Ability to communicate complex technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience guiding architecture across multiple engineering teams.
- Understanding of systems and workflows using Claude and modern AI coding tools, including agent loops, tool use, and context engineering.
- Preferred: experience with networking, mesh, or edge-computing systems.
- Preferred: experience with a platform or infrastructure product used by other engineering teams.

- Base salary range of $218,400–$304,700 annually; select San Francisco and New York City metropolitan areas have a range of $263,200–$332,600 annually.
