Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end vehicle software build and compilation pipelines for software-defined vehicle platforms.
- Compile and package ECU binaries, calibration artifacts, parameter sets, configuration manifests, feature flags, gateway and central-compute software, diagnostics, and service packages.
- Generate integrated, flashable vehicle images and deployment bundles for vehicle variants, hardware versions, lab cars, HIL/SIL, integration, OTA, and production environments.
- Ensure deterministic, reproducible, compatible, and traceable builds across distributed vehicle systems.
- Operate manifest-driven compilation systems and verify ECU version mapping, calibration alignment, hardware dependencies, and feature configuration rules.
- Integrate vehicle build systems with CI/CD pipelines and implement validation gates for compilation success, artifact completeness, and ECU compatibility.
- Manage artifact storage, versioning, access control, retention, repositories, hashing, checksum validation, digital signing, encryption, provenance, and lineage tracking.
- Maintain traceability from source code through build, binary, calibration set, flash package, and vehicle deployment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in build compilation, software packaging, or vehicle-level software assembly systems.
- Deep understanding of embedded ECU ecosystems and distributed automotive architectures.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and Groovy.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, artifact management, and version control systems.
- Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Proficiency with ALM/PLM tools including Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
- Familiarity with embedded software, electrical/electronic systems, and system architecture.
- Familiarity with A2B, CAN, Automotive Ethernet, LIN, LVDS, and vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe.
- Knowledge of automotive design and development processes, system requirements, and engineering best practices.
- Ability to apply system-level thinking, technical arbitration, structured problem solving, data analysis, and program milestone ownership.
