Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology initiatives and companywide programs involving building management and operational technology.
- Develop engineering standards, architectural patterns, and best practices for BMS solutions.
- Design, configure, code, test, debug, and document BMS, software, hardware, networking, and integration solutions.
- Design and configure BMS systems, RESTful APIs, and services integrating enterprise, SaaS, endpoint, and external partner platforms.
- Engineer network connectivity, integration services, data movement, transformations, and reliable delivery patterns.
- Implement solutions aligned with cybersecurity and operational technology security standards.
- Drive resiliency, observability, monitoring, operational support, lifecycle planning, upgrades, firmware management, vulnerability remediation, and modernization.
- Provide technical leadership across Niagara, Desigo, EcoStruxure, Lutron, and related building management platforms.
- Lead projects, technical workstreams, product ownership activities, design reviews, and device and firmware evaluations.
- Mentor engineers and advise leadership, architects, administrators, vendors, and business partners on complex technical and platform challenges.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Building Management Systems technology experience.
- Preferred: 5 or more years of financial services industry experience.
- Preferred: experience designing and engineering enterprise-class BMS environments and cloud solutions for BMS endpoint management.
- Preferred: experience with BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LoRaWAN, Zigbee, BMS device inventory, discovery, vulnerability management, remediation, and network troubleshooting.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of hands-on BMS system and data integration experience, including asynchronous, synchronous, real-time streaming, messaging, event-based, and REST API integrations.
- Preferred: experience with heterogeneous systems, device landscapes, security patterns, microservices architectures, API-first design, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of experience with Niagara Webservice Application, enterprise Niagara implementations, JACE, and third-party controllers.
- Experience with technology delivery, relationship management, system and platform integrations, and service-to-service communication in large corporate environments.
- Ability to influence across organizational boundaries, work effectively in hybrid and virtual environments, and communicate and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
