Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise SAP S/4HANA Finance initiatives and define scalable solution strategies aligned with business, governance, security, and compliance objectives.
  • Design, configure, test, debug, document, and support SAP Finance functionality, integrations, reports, conversions, and embedded IT controls.
  • Provide subject-matter expertise across FI, CO, Asset Accounting, CO-PA/Margin Analysis, Project Systems, and corporate real estate finance processes.
  • Architect end-to-end workflows, accounting structures, data models, APIs, BAPIs, reports, and integrations across SAP modules, internal systems, SaaS platforms, and external partners.
  • Lead integration delivery involving synchronous and asynchronous patterns, data transformations, APIs, messaging, event-based processing, and troubleshooting.
  • Support fit-to-standard workshops, solution design, configuration governance, data conversion validation, testing, cutover planning, deployment readiness, and hypercare.
  • Lead testing strategy, design reviews, reconciliations, defect management, and business validation.
  • Mentor engineers and functional teams and provide guidance on SAP Finance modules, integrations, testing, configuration, controls, and data practices.
  • Develop documentation, training, operational procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials for end users and support teams.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of specialty software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • At least 5 years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with business units in a large corporate environment.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA configuration experience supporting enterprise Finance processes.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance/FICO configuration and solution delivery experience across financial accounting, controlling, asset accounting, profitability analysis, product costing, financial close, and reporting.
  • At least 5 years of experience designing, configuring, testing, and supporting accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and month-, quarter-, and year-end close processes.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on configuration experience with SAP data integration solutions, REST APIs, ETL, ELT, streaming, messaging, and event-based processing across on-premises, COTS, SaaS, and cloud-native solutions.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting large-scale SAP implementation, modernization, or transformation initiatives.
  • Preferred qualifications include consulting, leadership, communication, stakeholder influence, system-integrator collaboration, and experience with enterprise architects, governance teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Preferred experience includes SAP Project Systems, EPPM, Capital Project Accounting, Investment Management, project budgeting, settlements, capitalization, lease accounting, FASB 842, IFRS 16, and financial services or commercial real estate technology.
  • Preferred experience includes SAP BTP, Fiori, Workflow, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Business Data Cloud, RISE, GRC, MDG, ARIBA, SAP Integration Suite, Databricks, data lakes, APIs, microservices, and modern data platforms.
