Base Salary

$126k - $210k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for one or more software engineering teams across the full development lifecycle.
  • Define requirements, architect scalable solutions, ensure interoperability across services, and independently code complex solutions.
  • Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, user-story refinement, defect resolution, and unit and integration testing.
  • Mentor peers and establish engineering standards and best practices for consistency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Identify and remediate severe security vulnerabilities while supporting secure-coding, security-by-design, and regulated-environment compliance.
  • Collaborate with Product, QA, SREs, Architects, Operations, and Project Management to improve delivery and productivity.
  • Embed AI-assisted practices across design, coding, testing, release, and operations.
  • Present complex technical topics to business leaders and customers and contribute to senior-leadership discussions.
  • Support software related to Central Fill Management and Drug Utilization Reviews within the EnterpriseRx pharmacy platform.

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent experience, with typically 7+ years of relevant software-engineering experience.
  • Alternatively, a master's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong object-oriented software-engineering experience and RESTful services knowledge.
  • Strong proficiency with Java 17/21+, Spring Boot, and Gradle.
  • Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka and microservices, modular architecture, API-first design, OpenAPI, API gateways, and OAuth2.
  • Experience with relational databases and SQL, such as Oracle; Snowflake familiarity is a plus.
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and observability using logs, metrics, traces, and SLOs.
  • Experience with SDLC, Agile methodologies, version-control systems, and collaborative workflows.
  • Preferred experience with GitHub Copilot or Claude Code, agent orchestration/MCP, Responsible AI, Azure cloud-native engineering, containers, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and progressive delivery or feature management.
  • Preferred Angular and TypeScript experience for full-stack contribution.
  • Experience with architecture visualization, Confluence, JIRA, manual and automated testing, secure coding, and compliance in regulated healthcare environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to learn and implement new technologies and processes.
  • Must reside in Irving, TX; Moon Township, PA; Alpharetta, GA; or Columbus, OH, and must be able to travel nationwide up to 5%.

Benefits

  • Location flexibility is available across four specified locations; candidates within a 50-mile radius of Irving, TX must work onsite at least two days per week, with remaining days remote.
  • Requires up to 5% nationwide travel, averaging two to three times per year.
