Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end solution delivery across discovery and delivery tracks, including prototypes, designs, implementation, acceptance, and post-release operational support.
  • Develop critical features and components, conduct code reviews, and ensure code quality, scalability, observability, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead client-facing technical engagements, workshops, solution presentations, approvals, and technical trade-off decisions.
  • Create technical designs, ADRs, interface contracts, data models, sequencing diagrams, migration and rollback plans, and traceability matrices.
  • Use AI and agentic workflows for design, prototyping, code generation, test-case creation, documentation, and automated validation.
  • Translate discovery outcomes into delivery backlog items and preserve design intent and non-functional requirements through implementation.
  • Mentor engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and example-driven leadership.
  • Contribute to platform strategy, reusable assets, API-first designs, risk mitigation, and technical investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5+ years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of professional software development experience with current, daily hands-on coding and prototyping.
  • Experience building cloud-native, microservices, or event-driven systems, including Azure or an equivalent cloud platform.
  • Strong proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, or Vue.
  • Experience with REST/OpenAPI, messaging platforms, and relational or non-relational databases.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, deployment tooling, automated testing, and AI-assisted development workflows.
  • Practical experience using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable generative AI development tools.
  • Experience owning medium-to-large projects through design, implementation, and post-release operations.
  • Strong stakeholder communication, workshop facilitation, mentoring, code review, and engineering leadership skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include retail POS and store-operations knowledge, Azure certifications, enterprise security and compliance experience, Dual-Track Agile leadership, platform strategy experience, API-first design, and formal specifications such as OpenAPI, UML+OCL, or TLA+.
