Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for navigation products using C/C++ and real-time application techniques.
- Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into realistic schedules and compliant engineering designs.
- Work with hardware engineers to ensure hardware designs meet software requirements.
- Develop software tools, diagnostics, and infrastructure for hardware bring-up, factory testing, and manufacturing processes.
- Own components of projects, manage deadlines and reporting, and deliver quality software to agreed schedules.
- Contribute to future product design and support the development of team capabilities.
- Develop software in compliance with applicable international, regional, and industry-specific standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Use modern AI-assistance tools to improve coding workflows and problem-solving.
Requirements
- A degree in engineering with a specialization in computer systems, software, mechatronics, or a similar field.
- At least 6 years of engineering experience with complex C/C++ embedded software products.
- Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, real-time application development, low-power electronics, and production-quality software releases.
- Experience across the product development lifecycle, including concept development, R&D, design, and planning.
- Comfort with Linux and containerized applications and experience with FreeRTOS and ST Microcontrollers.
- Mandatory proficiency in C/C++, strong communication, attention to detail, time management, initiative, ownership, and strategic thinking.
- Preferred experience with control systems, MATLAB, Python, ARM Cortex-A53 processors, FPGA-based SoC environments, AMD/Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC platforms, and the Yocto Project.
- Strong mathematics and physics knowledge is advantageous.
