Base Salary
$152k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production-quality features across Android and shared Kotlin Multiplatform layers from design through deployment.
- Implement product features using Compose Multiplatform UI, shared business logic, and MVI state management.
- Contribute to layered, multi-module architecture and maintain clean boundaries between app-specific, shared platform, and library logic.
- Collaborate with product, design, QA, and platform teams to deliver reliable, pixel-accurate experiences across multiple targets.
- Write testable Kotlin using coroutines, flows, KSP-based code generation, and dependency injection patterns.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain module boundary and build system conventions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to diagnose and resolve cross-platform issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous learning.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building scalable, consumer-facing Android applications with strong MVI architecture expertise.
- Strong Kotlin proficiency, including coroutines, flows, idioms, and best practices.
- Experience developing and scaling shared business logic in a multi-module Kotlin Multiplatform codebase.
- Hands-on experience with Compose or Compose Multiplatform and design-system-compliant UI.
- Proficiency with Gradle multi-module projects, convention plugins, and dependency management.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile testing practices.
- Ability to work across shared platform and library boundaries without leaking platform-specific logic into shared modules.
- Clear communication skills for articulating technical decisions to engineering, product, and design stakeholders.
- Agile/Scrum experience and a record of consistent, high-quality delivery.
- Bonus: experience with Compose Multiplatform across Android, iOS, desktop, and wasm; KSP-based code generation; Koin or similar dependency injection; feature flag systems; mobile observability; backend services; distributed systems; or event-driven architectures.
