Base Salary

$224k - $300k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build a fleet health system with telemetry, tiered health checks, alarm correlation, incident generation, and probable-cause drafting across Kubernetes and bare-metal machines.
  • Automate repair and RMA workflows from failure detection through triage, parts, vendor return, and return to service.
  • Build rack-level hardware qualification, burn-in, performance-baselining, and validation workflows for large-scale accelerator deployments.
  • Own the facility maintenance system, asset model, data migration, work orders, and retirement of legacy data-center inventory tools.
  • Convert runbooks, SOPs, training records, and technician qualifications into structured, auditable data and generate operational dashboards.
  • Work forward-deployed with production engineers and facility operators, build the tools they use, and participate in the on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Have shipped production code in Go, Python, or TypeScript and be able to learn additional languages as needed.
  • Have built real features using LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-weight models, along with MCP servers and agentic frameworks.
  • Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Cursor and can enable agents to work autonomously alongside you.
  • Demonstrate end-to-end ownership, independent problem solving, rapid execution, and the ability to build foundations other engineers can extend.
  • Have participated in an on-call rotation or worked closely with on-call teams and improved operational reliability.
  • Show strong product judgment through clear interfaces and workflows aligned with how engineers and operators work.
  • Preferred experience includes production engineering or SRE on large GPU fleets, hardware qualification or burn-in frameworks, BMC, Redfish, IPMI, CMMS, DCIM, asset management systems, BMS/EPMS, SCADA, Prometheus, and Grafana.
