Responsibilities
- Design comprehensive test strategies for functional, regression, integration, compatibility, and end-to-end coverage of enterprise applications.
- Develop and maintain scalable automated test frameworks using Selenium and TestNG.
- Implement RestAssured-based API automation suites validating requests, responses, schemas, status codes, authentication, and business rules.
- Execute manual, automated, boundary, negative, happy-path, exploratory, performance, and reliability testing.
- Analyze test results and defect patterns and collaborate with engineers on quality improvements.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and developers to refine acceptance criteria and ensure features are testable.
- Create and maintain production-like test data and environment configurations.
- Integrate automated tests into build pipelines with DevOps or platform teams so quality gates prevent defective releases.
- Document reproducible defects with logs, screenshots, and execution context.
- Provide quality status updates, risk assessments, defect trends, and release-readiness indicators.
- Mentor junior quality engineers and review test designs, automation code, and defect reports.
- Validate cards, payments, transaction, authorization, settlement, fraud, limits, and compliance scenarios when applicable.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Java programming, object-oriented design, reusable utilities, and debugging for test automation.
- Advanced experience with Selenium for web application testing, including synchronization, dynamic elements, and locator strategies.
- Working knowledge of TestNG annotations, test suites, data providers, and reporting.
- Proven expertise with RestAssured for RESTful service testing, including request specifications, response validation, schema checks, and authentication.
- Understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, defect life cycle, risk-based testing, and continuous quality practices.
- Prior exposure to cards and payments or similar financial-services testing is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model with clear written communication and structured updates.
