Responsibilities
- Define acceptance criteria and test scenarios with product owners and developers before development begins.
- Design and execute manual and automated tests across web and mobile platforms.
- Build, maintain, and improve automated test scripts and the test automation framework using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Perform regression, smoke, integration, exploratory, API, performance, usability, and reliability testing.
- Log, triage, and verify defects using clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, screenshots, and logs.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and manage test scripts with Git or similar version control systems.
- Maintain test cases, test plans, and QA documentation in tools such as TestRail and Confluence.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint demos, stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve testing processes and overall product quality.
- Share insights and mentor junior QA engineers when appropriate.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on QA experience involving both manual and automated testing.
- Experience writing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test scripts with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience contributing to stable and scalable test automation frameworks.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and backend services with Postman, Playwright API testing features, or similar tools.
- Experience designing API test cases covering authentication, error handling, and edge cases.
- Experience with web and mobile application testing, regression testing, and defect verification.
- Experience using Jira or similar defect-tracking tools and Git or similar version control systems.
- Ability to collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders on quality goals and timelines.
- Willingness to improve testing processes, learn new tools, and contribute to team knowledge-sharing.
