Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure and platform services.
- Support AWS infrastructure and multi-cloud initiatives.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads and platform services using Kubernetes, including AKS and/or EKS.
- Partner with development and DevOps teams to integrate cloud infrastructure, platform services, and automation into CI/CD workflows.
- Monitor production environments, troubleshoot platform issues, and participate in incident response.
- Develop automation using Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and tracing practices.
- Support cloud security, compliance, vulnerability remediation, backup, disaster recovery, and governance.
- Contribute to reliability improvements, capacity planning, cost optimization, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- Hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services and platform engineering practices.
- Experience with AWS cloud services is preferred, with willingness to learn acceptable for candidates with limited AWS experience.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code, automation tools, Terraform, and modern CI/CD workflows.
- Experience running or supporting production workloads in Kubernetes and Docker, including managed platforms such as AKS and/or EKS.
- Understanding of cloud networking, including virtual networks/VPCs, DNS, routing, load balancing, private connectivity, firewalls, and security groups/network security groups.
- Experience with identity and access management, secrets management, encryption, and least-privilege cloud security practices.
- Proficiency with Python, Bash, Go, or PowerShell.
- Experience with observability tools and cloud monitoring best practices, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident response, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills in production cloud environments.
- Familiarity with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, disaster recovery, backup, and compliance practices is preferred.
- Fluent written and oral communication in English.
