Base Salary
$147k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write product or system development code for Cloud SQL infrastructure and services.
- Participate in or lead design reviews and select appropriate technologies with peers and stakeholders.
- Review code and provide feedback on style, correctness, testability, efficiency, and best practices.
- Improve fleet observability, reliability, and root-cause analysis for managed database services.
- Develop infrastructure for product-led growth features, instance creation workflows, and integrations such as AIStudio.
- Contribute to documentation and educational content and update it based on product changes and feedback.
- Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their sources and impact.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience using Go or C++.
- At least 2 years of experience building, designing, or maintaining database infrastructure, database internals, or distributed database systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with operating systems or Linux.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Preferred: experience troubleshooting database engine performance, optimizing relational databases, and writing complex SQL queries, particularly for SQL Server.
- Preferred: experience with Cloud APIs, scalable cloud solutions, high-performance workflow systems, API design, large-scale managed services, and observability.
