Responsibilities
- Drive architectural decisions and technical strategy across multiple teams and domains.
- Design and evolve fault-tolerant, scalable distributed systems.
- Coordinate technical initiatives and transitions across multiple squads.
- Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to align technical trade-offs with business value.
- Perform hands-on stack upgrades, migrations, production coding, and critical infrastructure incident resolution.
- Lead by example in code quality, testing, security by design, and deployment practices.
- Implement the new engineering framework and define standards for reliability, security, testing, and deployment.
- Advance automated, self-healing, and immutable infrastructure.
- Lead platform-wide initiatives that improve developer productivity, system reliability, and end-user experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in software engineering and cloud infrastructure management.
- At least 3 years in senior- or staff-level technical leadership roles.
- Strong experience leading complex technical projects without direct managerial authority.
- Strong PHP and Symfony experience.
- DevOps and platform expertise with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability.
- Working knowledge of Python; Go and Nuxt/Vue experience is a plus.
- Deep expertise in system design and distributed systems architecture.
- Experience making and communicating technical trade-offs and orchestrating complex technical transitions.
- Crisis management experience and composure under pressure.
- Strong communication, consensus-building, product mindset, and understanding of business and user needs.
- Fluent written and verbal English.
- Experience with SaaS, AI-powered platforms, security engineering, large-scale platform engineering, or legal technology is a plus.
