Software Engineer [Multiple Positions Available]
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Implement infrastructure, configuration, and network as code for applications and platforms.
- Design, build, maintain, automate, test, deploy, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines.
- Provision and manage AWS and on-premises infrastructure using Terraform and other automation practices.
- Develop and manage Docker- and Kubernetes-based containerized and orchestrated environments, including Amazon ECS.
- Monitor service-level indicators, apply service-level objectives, and use observability and telemetry tools to address issues proactively.
- Apply site reliability engineering practices including automation, root cause analysis, incident management, and reliability improvement.
- Debug software and develop automation scripts and integrations using Python and Java.
- Collaborate with software engineers, technical experts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems and guide appropriate-level designs.
- Use Git for source-code management and collaboration and Apache Airflow for workflow scheduling, data pipelines, and operational tasks.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field plus three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in one of those fields plus five years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Python, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, AWS, Grafana, Git, and Airflow.
- Experience with white-box and black-box monitoring, service-level objective alerting, telemetry collection, and Dynatrace.
- Experience applying SRE principles, including automation, root cause analysis, incident management, and improving system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Experience designing, coding, and testing with Python and Java and integrating infrastructure and monitoring tools.
- Experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, container orchestration, cluster automation, cloud cost optimization, and cloud security.
