Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, secure, simple, and maintainable systems.
- Build backend services in TypeScript and interact with React frontend applications.
- Solve complex technical challenges across the stack and deliver efficient solutions.
- Own features from ideation and specification through deployment.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and other stakeholders to define and prioritize work.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and software development practices.
- Contribute to scaling engineering processes, tools, and technologies.
- Contribute to product strategy and identify opportunities for product evolution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on modern web development.
- Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing complex distributed systems in production.
- Strong understanding of full-stack development principles and scalable system design.
- Experience with full-stack TypeScript products, including Node.js and React.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.
- Experience building complex web applications and working with large datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Experience with high-performance, scalable web applications.
