
Principal Engineer - Devops & Cloud

Responsibilities
- Own the technical vision, architecture, and evolution of MiQ’s cloud infrastructure and platform systems.
- Set technical direction across teams and drive platform-as-a-product thinking.
- Design and operate CI/CD delivery platforms at scale for large engineering organizations.
- Operate and scale Kubernetes container orchestration platforms.
- Author and manage infrastructure-as-code modules, state, and CI-driven provisioning workflows.
- Build observability platforms covering metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Drive DevSecOps practices including shift-left security, policy-as-code, automated compliance, and secure-by-default infrastructure.
- Establish technical standards, improve deployment velocity and safety, optimize infrastructure costs, mentor engineers, and represent the platform perspective in architectural and leadership discussions.
Requirements
- 10–14 years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
- Deep expertise in cloud-native architectures and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Experience with cloud networking, compute, storage, identity and access management, and security services.
- Production experience operating and scaling Kubernetes platforms.
- Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code, including module authoring, state management, and CI-driven provisioning.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD platforms at scale.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and practices.
- Experience building observability platforms for metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex infrastructure concepts to engineering, product, and leadership audiences.
