Responsibilities
- Define and drive regression testing, test automation, and quality engineering strategy across multiple products and engineering teams.
- Lead automation teams through technical leadership, mentoring, and capability development.
- Own automation architecture, framework design, tooling decisions, and quality engineering standards.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and release processes while driving shift-left quality practices.
- Define quality metrics, automation KPIs, release-readiness criteria, and engineering quality dashboards.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and Architecture teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Drive API-first testing, service virtualization, test data management, AI-assisted testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Improve automation coverage, reduce defect leakage, and increase release confidence and platform stability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation, and Software Testing, including leadership of automation teams.
- Strong expertise designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks and test architectures.
- Proven experience leading enterprise-wide regression testing and quality engineering initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright, Maestro, or Appium.
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or a comparable language.
- Hands-on experience with API and integration test automation, including REST and GraphQL services.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or an equivalent.
- Understanding of Agile delivery practices, test strategy, quality governance, and release management.
- Experience with performance testing, observability, production validation, and non-functional testing approaches.
- AI-assisted testing, intelligent regression testing, or LLM-powered quality engineering experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-operating-system automation using BrowserStack, LambdaTest, or equivalent platforms is a plus.
- Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team influence skills.
- Experience validating experimentation platforms, feature flags, and A/B testing programs is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
