Base Salary
$136k - $184k/yr
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee security incident response operations.
- Build and deploy threat detection and incident response capabilities with Amazon employees, partners, and customers.
- Design, build, and deploy AWS-based automation for security operations and incident response.
- Develop automation tools, reference architectures, white papers, and other technical content.
- Contribute to internal builder projects and new customer consulting engagement capabilities.
- Mentor consultants, partners, and customers and serve as a trusted technical resource before, during, and after security events.
- Participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience with web protocols, common security attacks, and remediation.
- Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and exploit development or equivalent experience.
- Experience solving basic problems by writing code or scripts with some assistance.
- Preferred experience with AWS services or other cloud offerings.
- Preferred experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.
- Preferred experience in application security architecture, security code reviews, security testing, incident response, or security infrastructure.
- Preferred experience troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN, traceroute, iperf, dig, or curl.
