Base Salary
$169k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the team while leading engineers through ambiguous, open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation, technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
- Identify and lead solutions for project, process, technology, and business issues.
- Operate and support team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues, and participating in on-call efforts.
- Establish and improve code review and design standards through writing and technical talks.
- Develop talent through feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages such as Python or Kotlin.
- Experience developing highly available distributed systems with technologies such as AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience owning and operating cloud-native distributed infrastructure in networking or compute.
- Deep expertise in Kubernetes resource management, Helm charts, and operator patterns for networking workloads.
- Ability to define technical plans for significant features or system components and create simple, extensible designs.
- Proficiency making significant changes in large codebases and using tools and practices to do so safely.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
