Base Salary
$130k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Assist with end-to-end architecture design, system modeling, integration diagrams, and technical specifications for federal IT programs.
- Translate functional, operational, and mission requirements into solution designs and technical user stories.
- Create and maintain system-of-systems diagrams, interface control documents, architectural blueprints, and other technical documentation.
- Support integration of software applications, cloud infrastructure, data engineering pipelines, and AI/ML workflows.
- Collaborate with software development, infrastructure, and test teams to provide architectural guidance and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Incorporate NIST RMF, FedRAMP, and DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide IL2–IL6 security baselines into designs.
- Apply cloud-native design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development practices.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
- At least 4 years of professional experience in software engineering, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or solutions architecture.
- Experience designing, configuring, or deploying solutions in cloud environments, with AWS preferred.
- Working knowledge of microservices, full-stack design patterns, and API integration standards including REST and GraphQL.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with automated CI/CD pipelines, version control workflows, and integrated security scanning.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or an equivalent Azure or GCP certification, federal or DoD delivery experience, GitLab, Jira, Databricks, Apache Spark, modern data architecture, RAG, LLM APIs, MLOps, Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe experience.
