Responsibilities
- Build successful relationships with clients throughout Portugal in collaboration with Account Executives.
- Act as a big data analytics expert and trusted advisor on architecture, design, and implementation.
- Create reference architectures, how-to materials, and demo applications to scale best practices.
- Lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups to build the Databricks community in the region.
- Engage customers in technical sales, communicate technical and business value propositions, and guide clear outcomes.
- Develop customer relationships and internal partnerships while growing toward technical or industry-specialist expertise.
Requirements
- Prior coding experience in Python, Java, or Scala and willingness to learn a foundational level of Spark.
- Hands-on expertise with big data analytics technologies, complex proofs of concept, and public cloud platforms.
- Experience discovering use cases, scoping engagements, and delivering complex solution architecture designs to audiences with varying technical depth.
- Native Portuguese proficiency and business fluency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.
- Based in the Madrid region within commuting distance for a hybrid schedule.
- Flexibility to travel up to 50%, primarily for customer meetings in Portugal, events, and training.
