Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance software infrastructure for robotic and automation systems, including message serialization, IPC, process management, and logging.
  • Build onboard software, custom loggers, middleware infrastructure, and optimized release images for commercial and R&D products.
  • Debug failures using GDB, pdb, and valgrind, and optimize software with perf, Callgrind, and custom CUDA kernels.
  • Apply computer vision, 3D geometry, robot kinematics, geospatial data, coordinate systems, and point-cloud processing to autonomous systems.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, internal departments, external customers, and open-source communities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
  • Deep understanding of C++ and Python, with experience using PyTorch and libtorch for robotics applications.
  • Real-world deployment experience with autonomous systems.
  • Strong technical communication, written, and presentation skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in defense-related government contracting is preferred.
