Responsibilities
- Design, write, maintain, and debug Linux kernel drivers and low-level software for camera and sensor hardware.
- Develop software communicating with devices over CAN, UART, I2C, SPI, MIPI CSI, and other interfaces.
- Bring up hardware platforms through BSP development, device-tree configuration, and kernel or bootloader integration.
- Build and maintain embedded Linux distributions using Yocto and BitBake, including custom layers and recipes.
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to define driver requirements and troubleshoot hardware/software interactions.
- Perform low-level debugging, performance analysis, and systems-level software engineering.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of hands-on Linux kernel or device driver development experience is preferred; new graduates with relevant coursework or project experience are invited to apply.
- Working experience with the Linux kernel, kernel modules, and driver development.
- Strong working experience with C; C++ and/or Rust experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with device tree, U-Boot, or other bootloader and BSP concepts is preferred.
- Experience with Yocto, BitBake, or similar embedded Linux build systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of revision control and code review tools such as Git.
- Experience manipulating GPIO and working with embedded Linux hardware platforms.
- Ability to read schematics and data sheets and debug hardware at the register or bus level.
- Must be a U.S. Person.
