Base Salary
$109k - $145k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead component and solution design, development, documentation, validation, and delivery for Smart Grid applications.
- Develop, unit test, troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, and integrate software components and third-party programs.
- Build clean, efficient, scalable, secure, and high-performance software using .NET and cloud-native technologies.
- Collaborate with architecture, cloud infrastructure, product, project management, R&D, SME, and business stakeholder teams.
- Provide accurate development estimates and participate across the software development life cycle.
- Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards, design principles, code quality, and effective development tools.
- Lead functional-area continuous improvement and innovative technology development or validation initiatives.
- Participate in recruiting, mentoring, coaching, training, and developing junior engineers.
- Create technical documentation, train users, gather feedback, and communicate effectively across teams and audiences.
- Lead small project teams, build cross-functional relationships, and support engineering team improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7–15 years of extensive software development experience.
- Expert proficiency with .NET Core, Helm, and C#.
- Strong knowledge of SOAP web services, REST APIs, and TCP/IP.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, GKE, RKE2, and Kafka messaging.
- Experience with database scripting and PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Deep knowledge of AMI and Smart Grid systems and solutions.
- Advanced design, development, or validation skills and the ability to work independently on complex R&D projects.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor engineers, communicate across diverse and cross-regional teams, and solve complex problems creatively.
- Experience with LwM2M, LTE, DLMS, ANSI, or Wi-SUN data exchange standards is a plus.
