Responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and modernization of AlayaCare’s frontend architecture.
- Drive the evolution of AlayaCare’s design system and reusable UI components.
- Partner with Product Design to create production-ready components.
- Provide technical direction on frontend architecture and UI implementation.
- Spend over 70% of your time coding and building core UI components.
- Identify and address inconsistencies and technical debt in the frontend ecosystem.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure clean API support.
- Mentor developers through code and design reviews.
- Define and promote frontend engineering standards across teams.
- Evaluate and introduce modern frontend technologies and practices.
- Influence technical roadmaps and align frontend investments with priorities.
- Manage technical stakeholders and communicate architectural trade-offs.
- Act as a technical bar-raiser for frontend development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science or related fields.
- 8-10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Deep expertise in modern TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and frontend architecture.
- Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks, preferably Vue.js.
- Proven experience designing or modernizing a design system.
- Strong understanding of UI architecture concerns.
- Strong full-stack awareness and experience with backend APIs.
- Hands-on coding ability and willingness to contribute to production code.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams.
- Ability to make difficult technical decisions and communicate trade-offs.
- Strong mentoring, coaching, and technical communication skills.
- Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and modern software delivery practices.
- Awareness of contemporary industry trends in frontend engineering.
- Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
