Base Salary

$180k - $265k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy algorithms for aircraft and obstacle detection using camera systems.
  • Develop scalable model training pipelines and evaluation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with teams to design end-to-end test plans for perception systems.
  • Create debugging and analysis tools for field data insights.
  • Refine ML models and tracking algorithms based on feedback.
  • Contribute to the architecture of Zipline's detect-and-avoid system.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in perception systems for autonomous robots or vehicles.
  • Expertise in deep learning models for object detection and tracking.
  • Knowledge of geometric computer vision techniques for 3D position estimation.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of overcoming performance bottlenecks.
  • Hands-on experience with commercially operated autonomous systems.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities in a dynamic engineering environment.
