Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and scale backend microservices and APIs.
- Collaborate with engineering, Architecture, Data Management, DevOps, technical, and business teams to translate requirements into solutions.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, debug, and maintain software throughout the development lifecycle.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, architectures, procedures, and operational tools.
- Write unit tests and perform integration, usability, accessibility, and collaborative testing.
- Develop tools and scripts to automate operational tasks.
- Follow data architecture guidelines and provide design documentation and information to the data team.
- Document code and comply with applicable regulations, procedures, and coding standards.
- Promote accountability, proactive problem-solving, and an inclusive workplace culture.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of backend software development experience.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JUnit, and Mockito, or with .NET, .NET Core, C#, NUnit, and MSTest.
- Knowledge of microservices development and REST services and APIs.
- Experience using Maven, Gradle, GitHub Actions, Sonar Cloud, and Git.
- Knowledge of unit testing, clean coding practices, and file organization.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
- Willingness to learn new technologies in Spin’s technology stack.
