Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build scalable and secure microservices with defined service boundaries, resilience, observability, and versioned API contracts.
- Design, document, and consume RESTful APIs.
- Work with SQL Server, relational data modeling, query optimization, indexes, and data access patterns.
- Implement search and indexing solutions with Elasticsearch.
- Build event-driven integrations using Kafka producers, consumers, topics, and schema/versioning practices.
- Use GitHub or Bitbucket and contribute to automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Write unit and integration tests, participate in code reviews, and support engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in Java development.
- Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot, including REST APIs, security concepts, performance, and scalability.
- Solid understanding of API design and microservices architecture.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server and relational data modeling.
- Experience with Elasticsearch and Kafka-based event streaming.
- Proficiency with GitHub or Bitbucket workflows and practical CI/CD pipeline experience.
- Strong communication, ownership, and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift; observability practices; and production support.
Benefits
- Full-time position.
- Primary location salary range of $120,800.00–$170,800.00 per year.
