Base Salary
$135k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain GCP cloud infrastructure under the direction of senior engineers.
- Build automation to reduce operational toil and support infrastructure recovery from production incidents.
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and observability tools.
- Support infrastructure scalability, security, availability, and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to incident response processes, monitoring, alerting, metrics collection, documentation, and outage response.
- Collaborate on workflow automation involving cron jobs, n8n, and Airflow.
- Participate in cloud operations processes and cross-departmental infrastructure projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of professional cloud infrastructure engineering experience, preferably with GCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability processes.
- Working experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Some exposure to network and application security practices or teams.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git is preferred.
- Collaboration experience with Data Engineering teams is preferred.
- Exposure to Terraform, Ansible, or Chef is preferred.
- Previous experience in a 24/7 on-call environment is preferred.
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate work, including Claude, Copilot, and Gemini.
