Responsibilities
- Rapidly scaffold, build, and iterate on proof-of-concept applications and mock services using LLMs such as Claude and Gemini.
- Design, build, and maintain reusable Node.js/TypeScript mock services with REST and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Deploy and manage demo infrastructure on AWS, including API Gateway and containers, with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB persistence.
- Manage reproducible demo environments using Terraform and existing OIDC authentication patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to connect UI components to mock services and debug end-to-end demo integrations.
- Partner with pre-sales consultants to turn client win themes into technical assets and occasionally demonstrate solutions directly to clients.
- Collaborate with Design and Product teams on UI direction while contributing design ideas.
- Mentor pre-sales colleagues on API design, architecture, and GenAI workflows, and set informal engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Deep experience using LLMs and generative AI to build applications, debug issues, and accelerate development.
- Experience designing clean, documented REST and/or GraphQL APIs and using Git/GitHub workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS primitives and proven ability to deploy infrastructure using Terraform.
- Ability to translate ambiguous client requirements into working systems autonomously.
- Preferred: a portfolio of AI-first internal tools, sales demos, or high-fidelity proof-of-concept applications.
- Preferred: understanding of global energy-retailer challenges, OIDC authentication flows, and UX/UI design thinking.
