Responsibilities
- Use LLMs, including Claude and Gemini, to rapidly prototype proof-of-concept applications and mock services.
- Design, build, and maintain reusable mock services in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Implement contract-first APIs, manage AWS deployments through API Gateway and containers, and provide persistence with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
- Manage reproducible and secure demo environments with Terraform and existing OIDC authentication patterns.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to connect UI components to mock services, debug integrations, and support end-to-end demos.
- Translate client win themes into technical artifacts and occasionally demonstrate solutions directly to clients.
- Collaborate with Design and Product teams on UI direction and develop design ideas for demonstrations.
- Mentor pre-sales colleagues on API design, architecture, and GenAI workflows while setting informal engineering standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
- Deep experience using LLMs and Generative AI to build applications, debug issues, and accelerate development.
- Experience designing clean, well-documented APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.
- Effective use of Git and GitHub workflows.
- Familiarity with AWS primitives and the ability to deploy infrastructure with Terraform.
- Practical knowledge of OIDC-based authentication flows is advantageous.
- A portfolio of internal tools, sales demos, or high-fidelity AI-first proof-of-concepts is advantageous.
- Understanding of global energy-retailer challenges and the ability to contribute UX/UI design thinking are advantageous.
- Applicants must have existing UK right to work; visa sponsorship is not currently available.
