Responsibilities
- Develop, shape, and iterate customer-facing Flutter applications.
- Architect solutions, write technical documentation, and make complex architectural decisions with the team.
- Write high-quality, testable, readable, resilient, and performant code.
- Conduct code reviews, identify anti-patterns and maintainability risks, and establish technical standards.
- Mentor and develop engineers through pairing, pull-request reviews, and development-standard advocacy.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve defects throughout the mobile application lifecycle.
- Ensure accessibility and inclusive product development remain central to the engineering approach.
- Collaborate across product, design, and engineering in a cross-functional team.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience shipping production mobile apps to real customers through complete app store release cycles.
- Strong Flutter experience or a strong native mobile background with substantial Flutter project experience.
- Strong understanding of mobile DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and app store deployment.
- Advanced software engineering skills, including high-quality coding, code review, and maintainability analysis.
- Experience with reactive state management patterns and mobile software architecture.
- Ability to communicate and document technical designs for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building products with design systems and shared component libraries.
- Working knowledge of mobile accessibility best practices and relevant standards.
- Strong communication, collaboration, autonomy, ownership, prototyping, and problem-solving skills.
- Native Android Kotlin or iOS Swift experience is preferred.
- Experience in finance, investing, or another regulated domain is preferred.
- Backend-for-frontend architecture experience is preferred.
- Experience building or owning a design system or shared component library is preferred.
