Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot software components and technical solutions with limited guidance.
- Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language.
- Use authorized AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, while validating outputs through review and testing.
- Consider upstream and downstream systems and technical implications when developing solutions.
- Apply software development lifecycle tools, processes, and automation capabilities.
- Troubleshoot basic-complexity technical problems and contribute to secure, stable application development.
- Analyze large and diverse data sets to identify problems and support decision-making.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience for the specified regions.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with authorized AI-assisted software development tools and the ability to critically evaluate and validate generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, security, and agile methodologies.
- Preferred: full-stack Java enterprise application development experience and at least two years of Java 17+ experience.
- Preferred: experience developing microservices, deploying them through AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service or Elastic Container Service, using EC2, writing Terraform, and deploying in AWS production environments.
- Preferred: experience with a relational database management system, especially Oracle or PostgreSQL.
